Ethiopian runner Meskerem Legesse, 26, of Westport, Connecticut was with her two year old son eating lunch at a Chinese restaurant when she suddenly collapsed
, she was given CPR at the restaurant before being rushed to the main hospital.
The main cause of death is yet to be ascertained but her close friend, Fatima Sene said that the athlete had a history of heart problem which caused her to retire from sports at a young age. Sene also said that the marathon runner was so careful of her heart that during pregnancy she drank only water and ate only healthy foods.
The un-born baby was saved though. so sad
