LAGOS PLANE CRASH: List of the Survivors and victoms

A plane carrying the remains of late ex governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Agagu on Thursday, 3rd of October 2013 crashed in Lagos.

An eyewitness, said he watched the plane as go down and that the “plane was not high”. He also added that he “noticed something was wrong with the plane”. He noted that “suddenly the plane started descending on a fast speed inside the depot where they house fuel and fell” and that big trucks carrying fuel were seen driving out of the facility for safety purposes before “the fire service arrived the scene of the crash”.

The crashed Air-plane belongs to the Associated Airline and was conveying the corpse of late Ondo state governor, Olusegun Agagu to Akure for a lying-in-state programme billed to hold at the Democracy Park.

The flight recorder also known as ‘black box’ has been found and has been handed over to the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB).
 
An emergency response site has been set up. 5 people out of the 27 people on board survived.

The management of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) released the names of some survivors and dead persons

5. Unknown male - Survivor

However, the casket carrying the late governor’s remains was found intact in the debris of the ill-fated plane. Although, it failed to open after all efforts by the rescue teams. It has now been moved to the Air
Force Base close to the airport.
